Hexamine 99% [100-97-0] Hexamine is used as a tourist fuel to heat food in the field (similar to trioxane). It is also used in the plastics industry as a substrate for the production of phenol-formaldehyde resins. It is an intermediate for obtaining initiating and crushing explosives. Also used as a digestion inhibitor in acidic pickling and cleaning baths. Is a preservative, as a food additive it is E 239.
