It is very often used in the pharmaceutical industry as a solvent for the production of drugs. The main raw materials for the production of ethanol are food products such as sugar beet, potatoes and sugar cane. It is also used in the production of alcoholic beverages. Ethyl alcohol is a psychoactive substance, it belongs to the chemical compounds that are quickly absorbed from the digestive system within 5 minutes and can be detected in the blood.
