Sodium hydroxide are solids of varying colors. They are highly hygroscopic substances and are used as ingredients for the production of soaps, washing agents and preparations for clearing pipes. Concentrated sodium hydroxide solutions are corrosive.
In the cosmetics industry they are used for the production of hard soap, cleaning agents, exfoliating masks.
